Spiritual Direction is one of my favourite things
It is easier to find guides, someone to tell you what to do, than someone to be with you in a discerning, prayerful companionship as you work it out yourself. This is what spiritual direction is.

Why do I like it so much?
Because it helps me make sense of my life with God when I’m being directed and because I hear God through the stories of others when I’m a director. If you want more information about the process, there’s a really great explanation from the Retreats Association here.
I was inspired by my first fantastic, formative Spiritual Director, who helped me accept the chaos of my life, enabled me to untangle the messy strands and see what God was up to.
Offering similar care and safe space, I want to engage with those seeking to be with God. I look to the concept of finding God in all things and reflecting on where God has been in the events of our daily life. I find that God often speaks to me through art and poetry and I bring these experiences into direction. Since my Ignatian training, I've directed with regular Supervision. I offer sessions in person or online.
Mess happens and my director is the first person I call for help. Not because she sorts it out, but because she helps me untangle myself.
Your first session, where we work out if we want to work together is free. If we want to go ahead, there will be another review point, with no questions asked, after three more sessions.
Try it.
Our primary creative act of living of our daily lives is making of it a work of art. Christine Valters Painter - the Artist’s Rule
